Submit was thought up in 1998 by myself but was not put into real action until 2000 when i moved to San Luis Obispo. I had learned Chuck Liddell had no clothing line, so it was started actually for him. We made shirts for him at his fight vs. Vitor Belfort and it received a good response. I started this company with my fiance Erika Branich, she financed most of the work being done. We had a fight team of about 15 fighters from Scott Smith to Bo Cantrell as well as myself. My brother Rich Russell helped with an Oregon fight, sales were great, Rich fronted the bill for those shirts and that's where he got involved.  We had a great web site with over 100,000 hits and were able to gain access to a few UFC fights. We have sponsored fighters such as Dan Henderson, Matt Lindland, Randy Couture, and Joe Stevenson.  We were a force out there, gaining major popularity with so many people. Our down fall came when our web site was stolen and we had lost everything.  Every cent we had into the site was gone. We couldn't find a way to get it back. The company just disappeared. Now a few years later with the help from Grant Smith. Submit has come back into the picture. He's invested enough to become the majority owner of Submit. Rich and My cousin J.R. Russell have been investing time and money into getting operations functioning back in the midwest & east coast. They have picked up some great sponsors and fighters to join Submit. Our main goal right now is to make a new clothing line that is similar to Affliction(TM) and Ed Hardy(TM) type clothing, a pro fit, night club, fight type shirt. We have much more work to do and we are currently working to get out a new web site. It takes lots of time and is a long process. I have battled back from a heart attack and a chemical dependency from medication. Its been a rough road. Grant has been a big help in the financial dept because I'm not yet working.
